bullet

Membership. We always need more members willing to donate time for club projects and fund their own projects for use on Railway Section track. See opportunities to join here.

Safety. The Chief Engineer ensures all those operating the train are adequately trained.

Construction standards and scales.
- For track and rolling stock, we adhere to the International Brotherhood of Live Steamers (IBLS) standards. Read about it here.
- With our 7.5" track, models at 1:8 up to 1:4 look best.
- in inches per foot: 1.5", 1.6", 2.25" (triple 3/4"); 2.5", 3". (2" and larger represents a narrow gauge railway)
- for rolling stock, we will use robust construction rather than some of the entry-level products available
- our railway web links page has many ideas for construction

Ownership of Rolling Stock. Some members prefer to build/buy their own rolling stock and share it during operating days, which is always welcome. For club-owned assets, the member(s) building the items to be owned by the railway section will be reimbursed for material expenses, but never for labour.
